Happy New Year

From left to right: Laura, Me, Linh and Vy
No better way to spend new year's eve than with good friends singing "Like a Virgin" in a dive karaoke bar. These girls and I all met in college, were roomates, sorority sisters and the ones I still turn to for everything. It's nice to know that even as we get older and our lives more complicated, things between us are the same.

Stoplight Shots

Hiroko is smiling nervously because she realizes that we're not in college anymore. Disco Jason is willing Hiroko past her immense fear of tossing her cookies after shots.

Hiroko's birthday at Bamboo Hut in North Beach. My brother decided to buy hiroko a variety of shots because well, it was her birthday. I just think this picture is classic.
Green: Go
Yellow: Slow...down...please
Red: STOP! because I need to hurl!

Drunk Dialing

So apparently I am the queen of drunk dialing....Having not given up on this age-old college pastime even though I am rapidly approaching 30.

The worst part about this is...most of the time I can't remember who I called, what I said or if there is an actual incriminating voicemail of me slurring obscenities.

Eh, I guess I'll just have to keep checking my call log as part of my "morning after a booze fest" routine.

For those of you who I have inflicted this joy/pain on, I apologize...
(not really)

Now if only I could remember all of last night's conversations....

Road Weary

Where my Nut Slingas at? aka Southwest Airlines flight attendants

This is me peeking through the seats on a flight back home from Los Angeles after a conference. I basically crisscrossed the US a few times throughout the year....This is at the end of another marathon/multi-week roadtrip. Take off and landing are still my most favorite moments on a plane *sigh*

Too many sleepless nights, dehydrating flights and alcoholic drinks with business associates later, I still managed to ham it up for the camera...of course. I am, however, annoyed that I had to wear the corporate poloshirt every day for the past few weeks (I own multiple..for those who think I am wearing the exact same one).

Shame on you - you know I am WAY too anal retentive for that.

WTF? The Wienery?

I really hate Los Angeles....but sometimes it is funny

I wonder what the "and much more" could possibly be?

Trick or Treat

God I love this picture.
This is me at Halloween....dressed up as Wonder Woman. I have been jones-ing to be Wonder Woman for YEARS....but an unruly BF always talked me out of it by saying "you're no Linda Carter." Well, to that I say "That bee-yotch ain't got nothin on me."

I Still Don't Believe It.

Even with pictures to prove it, I still don't believe it. That's yours truly smiling like a retard and pointing to the number on my chest in excitment. I just ran myh first 5K race (Dino Dash for MSU). I am trying to look happy and accomplished here....but it's not working. Angie wanted to take a picture of me for posterity and I wanted to puke, so this was the best that I could do.

30 minutes after this photo was taken, I was going through the McDonald's drive through nearby Michigan State Univeristy to get my fill of Big Macs and Fries. Kinda gross if you think about it, but heck I just ran 3.1 miles in 30 minutes....and for those of you who know me, you know I DESPISE running.

How much do I hate running you ask?
I hate running so much that if a deranged man were to chase me with a knife? I would stop, turn around and ask him (wait, no beg and plead h im) to stab me to death because I would enjoy that more than running for my life. That's how much I hate running
