Forrest, Donut and I headed down to Peekadoodle to celebrate Choseuk with my newfound korean mama friends. So we never celebrated Choseuk growing up but the SF korean mamas celebrate it - why not? Choseuk is a celebration of the harvest tied to the autumn equinox. I don't know why we never celebrated this...I have also heard of other people calling it the Korean Thanksgiving...maybe it's because our family is christian?? who knows - all I know is that Donut got to wear her hanbok again and I stuffed my face full of japchae and rice cakes!
