Interesting movie concept. It's not a cartoon and it's not just a movie...instead an enhanced movie. So the deal was that they filmed this movie and then added like a layer of digital whatever on top of it, saving them tons of money and time since they no longer needed to be worried about makeup or wardrobe. interesting. It gave the movie a quality that made the drug induced paranoia scenes funny instead of sad. Robert Downey Jr plays an addict too well....I mean I know he's been one but it's soo good you wonder when he's acting and when it's real.
