So there goes my belly button... It's still an "innie" but it is spreading to the point where it's starting to become a "flattie" and soon to be an "outie"

Holli's 30th Birthday
Forrest with his little butterfly purse. For Hollis' 30th birthday, Sal put together a dinner at the Wade Street Cafe in Larkspur for 40 of Hollis' family and close friends. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves and the food was DELISH! Happy Birthday Hollis (I can't believe she is 30....that must mean I am REALLY getting old)

The business of moving....
stuff stuff everywhere....
more stuff everywhere... thank goodness we hired professional movers to do the heavy lifting and we spent our time just packing and then unpacking...
Forrest is not too happy here at my insistence that we clear out the long term storage locker... as of today, we are still paying for public storage to house a few random things. I will be happy as soon as we clear this shiz out.

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! It's a Kangabration + Forrest in the picture above. In looking at that picture closely, I am just realizing how much I resemble my mother....I just have a MUCH larger head than she does. So a New Year's Day celebration is part of the Korean culture...I always just associated it with the soup...but there is an element of housecleaning the night before, waking up on the new year, putting on new clothes and celebrating with a feast of specific foods with friends and family. So this year, I took over the ship and hosted the celebration and invited some friends and family. Next year we will definitely be expanding to include more people as we will have more space.
Sam petting my growing belly. The topic of my weight gain is top of mind with the family and a point to leverage in making jokes and discussion these days.
Just lazing around the Fotel waiting for the food to be ready....Forrest and I realized that we only had one meal on New Year's Day....that's not that much food but honestly we weren't hungry - that's how much food we ate during that period...lol.
My mom...probably trying to boss me around in the kitchen (just kidding) but really, check out my super cute rice cooker in the foreground?
Post Christmas Weekend
Big group photo with Forrest's family and Ann's in laws. After a week in Palm Desert, we headed off to Ann's house in Socal for the weekend before heading back home.
Trying to take a group picture always leads to some shennanigans. She hosted a dinner at the casa with Scott's family and the meal featured a tilaplia with a brioche crust (super rich and fabu), pureed sunchokes and rapini. For dessert was this decadent gingerbread bread pudding...which I was unable to finish as I was so full from a week of holiday bounty eating.
La Brea Tarpits....or I LOVE MUSEUMS
Forrest and I in front of some sloth things. Saturday morning after the baby supply store in Korea-town...three of us (Big Forrest, Forrest Andrew and I) all headed over to the La Brea Tar Pits. I had never been there and with my new love of natural history museums, I was excited to check it ou.
Merry Christmas!
