Saturday night Caroline, Lee and I went out to dinner in Davis Square...it's almost like a little downtown area in Somerville. It looks a lot like how dowtown Los Gatos or Willow Glen is situated with little boutique shops, restaurants, bars, tree lined streets with white lights in the trees. Anyhoo...I was surprised when Caroline suggested Indian food...as I never remembered her as liking spicy or extreme curry type flavors like Indian food before. And indian food is not my favorite but I decided to give it a try...so she took me to
Diva Indian Bistro. It looked like a hipster's indian restaurant and I almost started to expect some fusion-type food...but no, it seemed pretty authentic based on the number of things I could not pronounce on the menu.
So we ordered...
- Vegetarian Samosas
- Chicken Jalfrezi - Caroline
- Chicken Dosa - Lee (it was this huge crepe like thing...pretty neat)
- Shrimp Vindaloo - Me (totally diggin the tomato based sauce)
If you'all make it out to Beantown anytime soon...check this place out. Somerville is about 5-10 minutes outside of downtown Boston...you could easily take the T out of Boston proper and hit up Diva.
