Found this on Amazon.com this morning and thought I should post it here, even though I am probably not going to be able to drive a bunch of additional visitors to the site or anything....but it's worth a shot. Also, I am sad that I did not go to Louisiana earlier this year for a business trip, because now I won't ever get to see and experience all of the original wonders of creole country (it sounds selfish...but is meant as a compliment to the fascinations of the south - whether it be food, culture, legends)...by the time I finally make it out there and they've been able to de-flood the area, it'll be filled wtih stucco reinterpretations and McMansions so that any local character might be sucked dry.... Hopefully the people of Louisiana can rebuild their lives and their towns in a way that helps to maintain the soulful personality of the south.

I put in my donation...but i wonder 1. what are they going to do with it? 2. how are they going to efficiently and effectively get help to the people of Louisiana and 3. what's the long term plan to rebuild that area?
without a plan...it's just cash sitting in a bank somewhere earning interest for people that will never see it.
