How is it gay wednesday already?!?? For some people today is called "hump day" but at my company, it's called gay wednesday. Why? you ask??? Oh, please be patient...I will explain.
An old conversation
Me: Hey, tomorrow's wednesday.
Jason: Yay! It's hump day
Greg: I don't know what the word "hump" means in the US, but in Australia it means something else.
Betty: Oh!...yeah. It means that here too, but in reference to a work week, it means getting over the middle (hump) of the week. So now thursday and friday are all downhill.
Jim: Yeah, that reference wouldn't work to well here since there are only 2 women that work in our office.
Jason: Totally, it would be gay wednesday
So now you know the genesis of gay wednesday. Having 3 day weekends always throws me off, because now it's already wednesday and I'm totally a day behind. But the weekend does seem closer..heeheehee

Notice how none of the comments have to do with lesbianism, though..it's all about boy gayness and stuff
