2 books in 2 days. although now i need to read a dissertation or something to not feel like a ditzy bimbo. Granted these books were fun, but I need something a little more intellectual or even realistic to balance out the imagery in my brain.
Trading Up: Written by the same lady that wrote "Sex and the City" was very funny. It's about a 30 year old model who get's a second chance at being a famous supermodel...but is a terrible gold digger and has done everything, including sex to get to the top of NYC's high society. Has lots of reference to designer duds and summers out in the Hamptons with upscale parties and the associated infidelities of the upper crust.
Something Borrowed: About two BFFs where one is getting married but the maid of honor sleeps with the fiancee and then proceeds to have an affair. Interesting look at the dynamics of girl friendships where one is the dynamo hottie while the other is not so much. You root for the underdog in the story because the hottie is such a raging fake bitch. Fun beach read.

The sequel to something borrowed is told from the perspective of the other girl. I'm kind of curious, though the book wasn't so great I want to run out and buy another one.
I think that would be an interesting read...we must buy and share
